We are using 1 database for all of the domains. We left the name as odbcuser.dll and the size is 92 kb the date on the file is 7/8/2004. I have verified that each configuration specifies the correct path and name of the .dll.

Are you using only 1 database for all your domains or are they in different DB's? If in different DB's (or if you have renamed the dll) make sure that the new one is named the same as the one you have in your external db configuration. There was an update that should have been copied over the old one. What is the size and date of the file you have?

Subject: FW: [IMail Forum] IMail 8.14 and Host Administration

I contacted the IMail Technical Support because I did not receive a response to this email. IMail support told me that Host administrators will no longer see the default user attributes in calssic webmail when creating a new user and that they manually have to check them in the Classic Webmail each time they create a new user.  It was explained to me that only System Administrators will have the default user attributes checked automatically when creating a new user in the classic webmail. I then gave my email account system administrator privledges and logged into classic webmail. Unfortunately, NO, even an account with system administrator privledges were not showing the default user attributes checked. I was told this must be one of the things that 8.14 broke. I did not continue with that support conversation.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? If not, does anyone have any ideas? We use Microsoft SQL and I read that there were some changes made to the ODBCUSER.DLL and that this new .dll should have been installed with the IMail 8.14 installation package. I’m leaning towards this being a problem with the .dll that was installed but I’m not sure where to start to resolve this issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

Subject: [IMail Forum] IMail 8.14 and Host Administration

We recently upgraded IMail to the version 8.14. Since the install of 8.14 when a Host administrator logs into Classic Webmail and adds a new user the default settings for the User’s attributes that were specified in the IMail Administrator are not selected. When I add a new user from the IMail Administrator on the server the default settings are selected.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this may be happening?

Thank you,
