Maybe it has something to do with the user by which you are
accessing Terminal Services? A rights or access problem with
folders or files? If there is no mail in box, then IMC might not
need to crate the idx file. When there is mail, the idx must be
created. Is there one when the attempt fails? Could be that if
that fails the client just closes, without warning? Maybe some
rights thing is keeping the idx file from being created??

I just verified that the problem only occurs when accessing the
server
via terminal services, and trying to open a mailbox that has
messages.
If there are no messages in the mailbox, it doesn't crash even
through
terminal services. From the console, it all works fine, mailbox
with or
without messages.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Imail client crashing

We just updated to 8.15 and to my knowledge, there hasn't been
any
changes to the Imail Client in a REALLY long time, but for some
reason
now, when I open it to maintain a newly created spam account, it
starts
reading the mailbox file, then just closes. Nothing in event
viewer
about it. I've killed the uid and the idx files for this user,
and it
only has like 5 messages in it, so it's not a big mailbox. Any
ideas?
