Thanks a lot for the ideas - using my Windows DNS to create DNS blacklists sounds like it could be a pain, but it will be better than nothing.

SAV also does not verify user accounts. You can get SAV to block by IP by
setting up a IPV4 DNS black list and tell it to delete the message if there
is a hit. We use an internal DNS black list with SAV and also point declude
to it for blocking if a spam directly is sent to our mail server.


Accourding to Symantec tech support they are looking at adding user
verification in the next version.
