Scott, If I had two different servers at two different locations (and feeds) both tank simultaneously, I'd probably have more problems to worry about than spam. :-)
Seriously, my backup servers (everything but the primary) are located in my house, so I keep a pretty close eye on them. If the second server ever went down, I would likely be 10 feet away and could closely monitor any traffic hitting the third server.
