Yep,

I tried to come up with something with Declude (you even gave some pointers)
but had no luck.
I'm just surprised and disappointed that no one is doing this.
Needless to say my knowledge of using tokens isn't well enough to write the
script on my own.

You  can  use the free DOMLIST from Declude (www.declude.com) to get a
domain dump, then parse the output into the HOSTS file.

Note, though, that the traditional "dumb" store-and-forward offers you
no   protection  against  dictionary  attacks,  while  the  LDAP-based
store-and-forward  you  can  implement using ldap2aliases (see my sig)
offers a more complete solution.
