You might want to see if you are the target of dictionary attacks.  This
was happening to my Imail server before I put IMGate in front of it,
because it was under constant load from dictionary attacks.  After
IMGate, it runs smooth.

I didn't have a real problem with it until 2 to 3 weeks ago.  I think it
did it twice before.  It could be the hotfix.  It has really gotten bad

  usage is sitting at 8 meg, peek is 9.5 meg and virtual is 5.2 meg.
