This is already possible.  It was posted to the list a long time ago.  You just use google instead of mail-archive's search function.

Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Content of the Imail_Forum vs. the web based forum

Aha, now I got it.

The truth is that I went to the web based forum to lookup some stuff in the "archives" because I thought, that the web based forums IS the location of the archived stuff.

Now I realized, that the right location for the archived stuff is listed on the bottom of each email message and it IS different from the web based forum.

I noticed that the search option on the archive page gives only one line, do you guys now the syntax of that search engine (if any)?

Towards IpSwitch: It would be nice to have a similar search page for searches that is used by "Advanced Google Search":
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en

I mean, only the first 4 windows:

with all of the words
with the exact phrase
with at least one of the words
without the words

Maybe there is a way to incorporate a search engine like this into Imail's archive page either from Google itself (if it is affordable to Ipswitch) or from other sources.

I use this advanced search page from Goggle at least 10 times a day, I couldn't live and do my work and be efficient without it.
