127.0.0.1 is your server. It's a loopback network address.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Probably a dumb question

This is probably a dumb question, but one that has caused issues today
(especially with 3rd part filters)/. I could not find with a search for
"Outgoing from 127.0.0.1:"

Why would there be lines in my logs stating "Outgoing from 127.0.0.1:" for
emails that I am sending, when I am on a private IP 192.168 setup? Our mail
server is on a private IP 10.0.x.x mapped to a public IP of 66.1.1.x.x..
The only reference I can find to a 127.0.0.1 is under the "localhost" window
in Iadmin for "Log Server"

Sincerely,

Randy Armbrecht
