Quick DNS 101 question concerning official host name in IMAIL vs MX and A records in DNS…
Currently….
Official host name in IMAIL: todhunter.com
In the todhunter.com zone:
MX record points to 10 mail.todhunter.com
A record point to 24.73.160.163.
I now change the OHN in Imail to cruzan.com
In the cruzan.com zone I have the same MX and A as I did in the todhunter.com zone
Is this ok?
In other words, can I change the official host name in IMAIL without changing any dns records, other than adding them to the new zone?
