Guess I'll have to wait till the next time it happens. Whenever the spool directory gets backed up with over 60,000 messages, I usually have to stop services, rename the spool directory and start from fresh. Then gradually working the old messages back through. Which they all do successfully go (one place or another). I really haven't taken the time to move the logs out, so the old ones usually end up getting trashed. The spool directory isn't really a good place for the logs. Every other e-mail system that I've worked with, the only thing that is found in the spool or queue directories are messages.
I will keep what you've stated below in mind the next time this happens. Also, I have adjusted down the number of delivery threads from 175 to 150. Don't know if this may have anything to do with the issue or not. On Friday, April 1, 2005 at 1:58:55 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] confabulated: > I would look through the log for any ERR 005's for a start.
