No, and yes.  :)  If you can (no (web or other) servers that can't do
smtp 
auth), you really want to force all users to SMTP AUTH.  This gives a
trace 
of each sender in the logs, which is missing with relay for addresses.
And 
also preps they to roaming, since they don't have to setup SMTP AUTH
when 
they roam.
