I have a client that I host both e-mail and web site. As one part of their web site, they are trying to configure an automated way to update an account database. The update is triggered by an e-mail to a program alias. This is on the Imail server. The program and web site are on a different server. When the program alias is triggered, it launches the program on the local server, the Imail server. It needs to run on the web server. What is the best way to do this? More information. When a customer creates a new account, a process sends a verification e-mail to the e-mail listed. If it bounces, it is sent to the from address, which is configured as the program alias. The program then disables that account and sends a message to the manager.
