That is exactly what our problem was, although to solve our problem (if I remember correctly) I actually had to be at a certain software release on the PIX, 6.3 is what comes to mind. Most people don't have issues with EDNS. It is only an issue with certain non-compliant/non-patched DNS firewalls.
