Ok cool, lemme install that hotfix then.
Thanks for the heads up!

The Hotfix addresses this issue. We had the same thing happen and were able
to trace it back to our IMail server. When we called IPSwitch to report the
problem they were already aware of it and working on a fix. We rolled back
to 8.15, where we have not had any problems and are preparing to re-install
8.2 and the HF.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Odd occurence, data corruption on locally sent
attachments. (Imail 8.2 part of ICS 2)
I've run into a few instances where local users are sending files back
and forth (spreadsheets, pdfs, etc...) and they're getting to the other
side damaged. This didn't happen prior to the upgrade to 8.2. I
haven't installed Hotfix 2 yet. The files were fairly large, one was a
900K Excel Spreadsheet and the other was a 1.5mb PDF.

I'm making a wild guess that part of the virus scan may be ripping it
up? When the attachment gets to the other side it is usually close to
the original size. The message will be corrupted regardless of the
sending client (Outlook, Outlook Express, or Mozilla Thunderbird) I'm
using the antivirus that came with ICS Standard.
Any ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks!
Sam
