Yes, this is true but it's a quicker fix that making sure all his local
machines are set up correctly...I should have said both the relay for local
address JUST UNTIL you get your network set up right...

If you set your relay setting to relay for the local private address
range you can "skip Anti-apm filtering" for this range.
I don't think that's preferable to requiring AUTH re: relay while
trusting the local LAN re: RevDNS.
If you retreat to relay-by-IP, zombies on your LAN have a far easier
time spewing through your mail server, without the burden of hijacking
credentals.
