How would I set up a rule to block all but valid email addresses - would I
have to explicitly allow every known email address through, or is there a
way to get Imail to determine that for me on the fly?

You could use an imail rule to block all except valid email addresses, or in
8.2 or through an external spam filtering aid you could use SPF to block all
mail claiming to be from your domain that doesn't originate from a valid
sending server for your domain. Note: you will need to set up appropriate
SPF records in DNS to identify valid sending servers for your domain.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Block messages that claim to come from my domain

Is there a way to block all messages that are "from" my domain but are not
valid accounts or aliases setup in my domain? We've been getting a lot of
infected zip files lately that are claiming to come from email addresses
that don't exist in our domain. I realize that I can just explicitly block
those that I've identified, but I want to know if there's a way to block
future ones as well without explicitly knowing what they are.

Thanks,
