Not that I want to start a big pollitical debate but...... You will not see any sympathy from me. Regardless of why the spammer was truly killed (and I agree with you Sandy - it was highly unlikley to be an anti-spammer activist) - it may possibly deter other Russian spammers now that they think there is a consequence. As the article said, the fellow spammed because he could - there was no consequence.

I agree, and it's also preposterous and offensive to assume that he was killed by anti-spam activists; I doubt the police think so. Far more likely is an mob-related hit, coming out of a failed partnership or what-have-you, and the perp may (purposely) never be caught, leaving him free to hammer-murder people who haven't done anything we find deserving. Read some recent articles on doing business in Russia. It's not only the "bad guys" getting hit. --Sandy ------------------------------------ Sanford Whiteman, Chief Technologist Broadleaf Systems, a division of Cypress Integrated Systems, Inc. e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] SpamAssassin plugs into Declude! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/SPAMC32/download/release / Defuse Dictionary Attacks: Turn Exchange or IMail mailboxes into IMail Aliases! http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/exchange2aliases/downloa d/release/ http://www.imprimia.com/products/software/freeutils/ldap2aliases/download/re lease/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
