Is the webserver in the Relay For address list? That's the way that's normally done. If the email client (your webserver code) doesn't authenticate (most don't), you have an "exception" in the IMail rules to allow the mail. You still want it to be "From" a real user, so a recipient that verifies the from address will still accept the mail. It needn't be a real addres, just an alias to Webmaster or somesuch.
