Dave,

When it comes to more complex remote control needs, I can recommend Vector Networks PC-Duo 9, Famatech RAdmin 2 and Funk Proxy 5. We use these three products for different customers.

All of them can handle multiple remote operators at once and all have standard features like NT security, clipboard- and filetransfer, encryption and so on. All of them are configurable to an IP port of your choice.

Among these three, the regular RAdmin Host can operate as a gateway at the same time, making you able to define one machine as the entry point for all remote control communication. With PC-Duo and Proxy, this needs a seperate license at additional cost.

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: Remote Control

Sorry for the off topic post but this is a good "networking" knowledgeable

group.

I have a client that currently uses pcAnywhere 11.5 to allow +5 of its

employees to access the internal network with pcAnywhere to a specific

group of older notebook computers, residing in their server room, that have

been setup to specifically to hosts these remote sessions.

They have a new employee who has been given access and he is pushing them

to dump pcAnywhere in favor of GoToMyPC and they have against my advice put

the software on a few of the machines.
