It should work as-distributed. At least, it works for me.
Okay, I'll investigate further. For me, if I do "sudo -u user mailutil
check" with a vanilla (compiled and installed from source) mailutil, it'll
check my mailbox, not user's. Or at least that's what prompted me to do
the patch a few years back.
