I'm sorry; there is no such option. I don't distribute the IMAP toolkit with shared library support; nor have I ever written or investigated what needs to be done for shared library support.
My experience with the modifications made by others to support shared libraries has been unrelentingly negative. In my experience, far more resources has been wasted in tracking down problems due to shared library conflicts than was ever saved. c-client's interfaces change regularly and I only promise source-level compatibility.
