From the debian package version, it looks like it's 2002e in stable and
testing, and 2006j2 in unstable.
I also run debian on all servers (and clients), but I always compile the
imap daemon from source. The same goes for other important server
software, like sendmail, apache, php and mysql.
A little more work, but you can always run the latest version even on
debian stable or oldstable, and won't have to depend on the package
maintaners for bugfixes.
