An old IMAP vs. POP document on imap.org (http://www.imap.org/
imap.vs.pop.brief.html) mentions the following piece of software:
Also available in the /mail directory of ftp.cac.washington.edu is
a POP server that, in addition to offering the normal POP service,
can relay commands to an IMAP server, thus permitting existing POP
clients to access an IMAP server.
I'm afraid I don't see this mentioned in any of the readme files on
the FTP server. Does anyone know if this functionality is still part
of the UW POP daemon? Could anyone point me to similar server
software? What I'm looking for is a modern POP-to-IMAP relay server
with support for SSL and LDAP authentication. I know this is a rather
unusual request, and I won't be too surprised if no such software
exists currently.
Thanks for your help!
