Currently I am running IMAP-UW using mbox mailboxes. This has worked
wonderfully for years but the company has outgrown the mbox format.
After some fiddling with Courier and maildir I have decided that the
best option for me and my 500 or so users is the new mix mailbox
format and IMAP-UW. I have moved something like 6 users so far and
have run into very few problems. However, one major problem for me is
when I move a POP user the UIDLs are not kept intact and all messages
are downloaded again.
For my company having users not leave messages on the server isn't an
option. Also, having all users move to IMAP is not an option so I
need to find a way, using mailutil or some other tool to move these
mbox mailboxes to mix mailboxes without user clients downloading
messages again.
Does anyone have similar experience or a good solution for this?
