"luckily" those who have such huge mailboxes more than likely have a few huge emails with attachments. It'll take a while for your mailbox to grow to about 1 GB with "regular emails" even when you get a lot of spam. I have (had) a few users whose INBOX was getting close to 1 GB and warned them, they since decided to follow my advice and create dated archive mailboxes to move their old email into. Though once the mailbox grows to beyond the 2 gb limit the problem happily solves itself. ;-)
