The problem though is the newer version is even slower than the older version, not just a slower interface, slower to load, slower everything (so I use the older one). Add to that that almost everything google is in perpetual beta and thus is subtly broken in various places. Or just blatantly broken... If the concept of letting the users do the beta testing was so good, then why does the beta testing last 4+ years?

Actually, I heard from informed sources, the department taking care of "google apps" acts as some kind of in company startup and is severely understaffed. That does explain a lot. Cause they do hire "the best", no?...
