No correction needed.  It's called "contamination", and we, too, are very
careful to avoid it, and we, too, will not allow people to work on anything
related to the GPL without approval and isolation.  It's a pity, but there
it is.

(It's not limited to GPL, by the way -- we take similar care about, say, 
having someone familiar with the Oracle source code coming and working
on DB2.  Intellectual Property law is still very murky, and most of us
would rather be cautious than open to litigation or loss of IP.)
