Hi, Mark   Thanks for the reply.   I tried to deliver to spool file, and it looks like solved the problem.   But since the benifit of delivering to home directory, I prefer to deliver to $HOME/mbox, I have this in my /etc/procmailrc configuration file.   MAILDIR=$HOME/mail DEFAULT=$HOME/mbox LOGFIE=$MAILDIR/from LOCKFILE=$HOME/.lockmail I know this is a procmail issue, but if you or somebody else can give me some advance on how to make procmail lock default mail file so it can work with uw imap, I will very appreciate.   Thanks   Jack
