Hello, imapd is not being sent to the mail.* syslog log. Here is my syslog config file just for reference:
*.info;mail.none;authpriv.none;cron.none /var/log/messages authpriv.* /var/log/secure mail.* /var/log/maillog Here is what I see in my messages file: May 21 12:05:18 hermes imapd[1272]: Login user=user1 host=act000w98.domain.com [10.15.7.100] May 21 12:05:18 hermes imapd[1253]: Logout user=user2 host=act002w2k.domain.com [10.15.7.102] May 21 12:05:18 hermes imapd[1273]: Login user=user3 host=cla005w98.domain.com [10.15.2.105] Here is what I see in my maillog file: May 21 12:06:00 hermes imapd[1291]: imap service init from 10.15.2.112 May 21 12:06:00 hermes imapd[1294]: imap service init from 10.15.2.112 Any idea how I can get the stuff out of the messages file and into the maillog file only? -- Terry Davis http://approbation.org/ -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- For information about this mailing list, and its archives, see: http://www.washington.edu/imap/imap-list.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
