Command stream end of file, while reading line user=??? host=UNKNOWN

Hello my name is Oscar and I have problems with my web-mail

 I have finished to install the software
 apache-1.3.23-14
 horde-1.2.8-1rh7
 horde-mysql-1.2.8-1rh7
 mysql-3.23.49-3
 mysql-server-3.23.49-3
 php-mysql-4.1.2-7
 php-4.1.2-7
 php-imap-4.1.2-7
 imp-2.2.8-1rh7

 in redhat 7.3, but i have  problems when the people conect to web-mail.

 The users write their names and passwords, but is not possible to
connect. In /var/log/maillog  I read

 Jul 18 10:13:30 servidor imapd[1891]: imap service init from 127.0.0.1
 Jul 18 10:13:30 servidor imapd[1891]: Command stream end of file,
while  reading line user=??? host=UNKNOWN
