I have seen this in Netscape when the delete policy is set to "delete
immediately". "Move to trash" can be bad news also; I don't reccomend using it.

For best results, set the delete policy to "mark messages as deleted". The user
will then have to do a maunal purge. Netscape can be configured to purge at exit.

What appears to happen is that the local cache files (*.snm on Netscape 4, *.msf
on Netscape 6) are updated but the messages do not get deleted on the server.

An easy way to see if this is happening is to quit Netscape, delete the cache
files (they will be recreated). Don't delete the folders that contain the cache
files, just the files themselves. Then log back in. It should now reflect what
is actually on the server.

Cheers,
Tom
