I'm running Outlook XP against imap 2001a-15, and have observed some
very weird behavior with respect to meeting requests. Hopefully someone
can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong!

Outlook is set up with a local PST file, and that's where I keep all my
mail, rather than on the imap server. So, when new mail comes in to the
imap server and Outlook does a send/receive, I have a rule that copies
the new messages to my PST Inbox. This all works fine except for meeting
requests sent from Outlook (from POP, not Exchange). Those come over as
blank messages. Worse, if I go with Outlook to the folder on the imap
server, the message is blank there as well!

HOWEVER, if I POP the contents of the mailbox into my PST Inbox, the
meeting request comes in totally intact! Yikes!

I've tried to convince the Outlook rule to not copy meeting requests
over, but it seems to be somewhat braindead about the form type when
it's processing the rules in this scenario, and can't seem to figure out
that it's a meeting request.

Any thoughts on how I might be able to make this work would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks

Benn Schreiber
