Hi Everyone,

It's taken me a long time to track down this list and I'm not sure if it's
the correct list. I'm trying to enable IMAP on one of my IBM RS6Ks (AIX
4.3.3.). I have made the necessary changes to inetd.conf and refreshed
inetd. Imapd is now listening on port 143.

So I generated a few test mails to a standard user account and configured
Outlook Express to connect to this imap server.

I connect successfully, I download the headers i.e. I see the sender address
and subject line. As soon as I try to retrieve the message body for reading
I am told that the message in no longer available on the server.

So the questions...

1. Does anyone have a definitive document which will tell me everything
I need to configure under AIX to get IMAP fully functional?
2. I suspect the problem has something to do with mail being in
/var/spool/mail/user and then saved in /home/user/mbox once it is "read" by
imapd - am I on the right track?
3. Anybody got a quick, cheap and dirty method for getting this to
work?

Thanks.
Paul Walsh.
