If Craig is going to be hacking a new mailbox format backend onto whatever server, I'm almost certain he'll be happier with UW, since UW abstracts the format of the mailboxes away from the protocol layer significantly
This was one of UW imap's selling points for me.
Then again, if Craig is willing to flat-out convert to a new format, then Cyrus is probably a closer match to what he currently has.
This is NOT likely to happen.
For what it's worth, I agree completely with Rob's statements; and Rob's statements should be seen as an elaboration/clarification of what I said.
For what its worth, I've been lurking here for over 2 years now, I've enjoyed following the threads. Some of them have been quite humorous. :-) (I always love religious discussions, which I have seen more than a few of here.) I have always wanted to get under the hood of UW imap, this is my chance to do so and hopefully contribute something useful.
To the point; I am going to spend some time seeing what damage I can do to the mx driver.
Thanks everyone.
And now back to reading the docs for this beast, which I should have done in the first place.
