I did just download and try PC Pine. It looks just like I remember from my college days.
However, one of the things I really like about Mozilla is the ability to see multiple IMAP accounts and folders expanded in a left hand frame. This makes folders with new messages (which were automatically filtered) highlighted and easy to find.
I use a complex scheme with multiple IDs and accounts to minimize my SPAM exposure, so a single-account-at-a-time approach like PINE really doesn't work for me.
However, I do appreciate everyone's input, I learned many useful things. Thanks for taking the time to help me, and not flaming me. This is a nice list.
