I'd like to point out that it is not necessary to SUBSCRIBE to a mailboxIf I can ignore subscribe and unsubscribe, this would mean, I can always return an OK as Server Response,
to fetch/search/append mail in that mailbox. *In fact, you can completely
ignore SUBSCRIBE/UNSUBSCRIBE commands and still use IMAP effectively.* In
fact, I suspect many clients do just that (i.e., use LIST exclusively).
without care about what kind of LSUB command came in, right? I would handle every mailbox as subscribed.
I should only look if the asked mailbox exist?
