Hi all,
based on an idea of James Rubino, we have created the "Hollywood
Informatics" group, to discuss about applying network theories,
machine learning and other kinds of data analysis to the film industry.

This means analysis of the data to find useful correlations and
a lot more; on the long term this could lead to the development
of a product or a service, but right now we're only exploring
possibilities and nothing is written in the stone.
Anyone can join and propose new ideas.
No need to mention that most of the work will be done using
Python, the IMDbPY package and the IMDb data.

The group is open only to the members, but don't be shy: even if you're
only vaguely interested in following the discussions, subscribe it:
