For the past month I've had a problem where the Imgate box rejects sporadic mail from an RBL and after checking the address/name against the same RBL it passes. Not always the same RBL. All the messages indicate a time out. I'm beginning to think I have a bandwidth issue and am in the process of checking that. Two questions for the pro's
1. If the box times out in the middle of a request to a RBL what is the result? 2. A little OT but since I recommended this in a previous message I feel obligated to question the use of TCP wrappers to reject SSH log in attacks. Problems started around the same time I implemented this. Does TCP Wrappers require a large amount of bandwidth? Help, questions, comments? Larry eve, Inc.
