While many people use Mailscanner, it uses unsupported methods to modify
the files in the postfix queue. The postfix site says this: "This uses
unsupported methods to manipulate Postfix queue files, and there are
multiple reports of message duplication and/or delivery of truncated
messages."

Also, Wietse Venema has stated that the next version of postfix will
definitely break current versions of Mailscanner running on postfix.
Postfix provides built-in ways for Mailscanner or other programs to
modify queue files, but Mailscanner does not use those methods.

YMMV, but check out amavisd-new, policyd, others that use supported
methods of modifying postfix queue files.
