For what ever reason my kasp no longer use aveserver, I did some digging and it appears others have had this same problem. I thought mine was working until I started noticing some viruses slip through and realized that it was running but the currently running process had not been reloading the new definitions after keepup2date was run. Perhaps it is an issue with the version I am running. I am definitely going to take a look at postgrey again, but I am also going to see how difficult it would be to implement Milter so that its possible to run SPF and/or DomainKeys.

Kasp still works fine for us in Paris, although it doesn't catch much after we added postgrey. 90% of the infected messages were coming from infected machines. We used to get about 15 - 20 viruses/day, now only 1 or 2. > Currently I am considering obtaining a license >of bit defender and using Milter instead of amavisd.
