Evan, we run Postfix as the front-end MX servers and Qmail on the backend with F-prot and it works GREAT for us. We don't run F-Prot on our Postfix servers, just the Qmail Servers. We then take all the Virus Log info and parse it out and create some really neat graphs using PHP for reporting, etc.
