Please respond off-list. On my W2k + Office 2k, I installed a too-old version of pcA. and rebooted, things were scrogged, but after getting past video driver screwup and killing the auto-startup of pcA, all was ok, almost.
Now every Office app says to re-install from the cdrom. So I put the o2k cdrom in, get "maintenance mode", and hit setup.exe / repair. That starts, and "error 1500 another installation in progress" o2k setup.exe / add-remove features also gets "error 1500" When Eudora checks mail every 10 minutes, it triggers the Windows installer. :)) I would really like to avoid setup/remove Office. ... then I google that "error 1500" and get the MS site, which says "known problem, install o2k SR-1A." So I DL that SR-1A, and it says "you already have SR-1A". Patience expired, suggestions welcome. thanks Len
