Dont have a nameserver <IP> in resolv.conf. Never had one on Tuck and been
running without one on gumby for ages. All I have there is

domain citytel.net.

Should there be a nameserver <IP> in there as well? Ive got other machines
setup with a resolv.conf that are but those two machine.

As per man resolv.conf:

"On a normally configured system, this file should not be necessary. The
only name server to be queried will be on the local machine, the domain
name is determined from the host name, and the domain search path is
 constructed from the domain name."

sigh...the more I think I know about DNS the more I realize I dont...

I could but this is the first Ive seen it happen in a quite a while. named
was still running, mail was still going as I sent and recieved a few
messages from outside our domain as tests. Just that one domain that had
problems as far as I can tell.

Thanks,
Keith
