'Receiving mail'? I have my IMGate receiving mail for both my IMail server
and a (yuck!:-) Exchange server. Both servers and their domains are in my
transport.map file.

This works great. Len's basic configuration files have caught ALL of the
sobig virus emails that were destined to my Exchange users. And it has
reduced the spam they were getting.

'with authentication' This is where something got lost in the translation.
For me to 'send' mail to you, I do not have to log in and authenticate with
your server. If you or your users want to send mail, this is where things
can be configured to authenticate.

Here at work, I have the Exchange lusers send mail through the exchange
server, and I send my mail through IMGate since I'm on the local network
(permit_mynetworks). From home, I use my ISP. I might add SMTP
authentication later so that I can send mail from home through my IMGate
server.

Gerry.
