On one machine I can not get the mail.cgi to work from the web browser
unless I change to 644 from 640 on chmod on the maillogs.
But it seems that when the logs rotate the permsissions go back to 640.
root.wheel own the files.

I have searched and read on file/dir permissions and tried to figure out why
not working but can't.
>From reading on permissions and all I am assuming its something to do with
either the directory or with the files themselves but I just don't know.
the /var/log/ is set for 755 root.wheel

But then again does the pflogsumm need to be log to some owner.group chmod
to open the files ? does mail.cgi ?
I am so confused. I just don't have enough unix knowit yet.

Any help in tracking this down or directing me to more docs to read up on
greatly appreciated.

THanks
Mark
