I like it because it is very useful for importing into other applications. I.E. on a wireless LAN I can get accounting for every IP and feed it to MRTG to create individual user graphs, in the absence of a one-to-one switch port relationship. I primarily use ntop when I want to see in real time what is going on, and ipfm when I want long term accounting.
