Now that I have pflogsumm.pl working (thanks again Kevin). I have this great report and am not sure how to use it... My config has very few changes from the 'basic' config files Len forwarded to me. So, my next question to this group is to ask for your thoughts/experiences "tightening" the system.
With that said please know my postfix knowledge is below 'radar' level (see Beginner!) and I'm still trying to wrap my head around all the flexibility and power! I've read on the list where some of you (maybe all of you) pull user lists off your imail servers and add them to IMGate. I know this will allow IMGate to reject unauthorized recipients rather than making the imail server do it, are there other reasons to do this? Does this list go into to_recipients_bw.map (white list)? Is from_senders_slet.map obtained from wirehub? I know (through reading the archives) that wirehub is no more. Is there a replacement? And the question that just begs to be asked by an IMGate newbie (me), who creates this list and why do I trust their list? One last question for this email :) What options are available, if any, for longer term reporting? Is it possible to run reports only for specific domains (quantify results at the domain level).
