Or run multiple gateways with the same MX priority so that you can take one
off-line at anytime without any disruption in service (the configs are
identical, except for the hostname stuff, so you always have a backup).  ;-)

We recently upgraded the OS and Postfix on both of our gateway nodes during
normal production hours and no one noticed a thing, because mail just kept
flowing the whole time.  We took the first node off-line, rebuilt it,
brought it back online, and then rebuilt the second node and brought it back
online.

But glad to hear that things went smoothly!
