Hello all,
I have received questions regarding messages that appear to either be coming
from or sent to ig1/ig2.intouchmi.com (my Imgate boxes) in the From/To
headers. Some are legit messages, some like the sample below are definately
spam.
Reading man pages and postfix docs leads me to believe that this behavior is
caused by append_at_myorigin=YES + seeing a message without a fully
qualified address.(? am I on track there - if not the rest of my questions
are on the wrong track... ?)
If that is the case, what true harm is there in setting
append_at_myorigin=NO? Postfix docs warn about this setting, but I am
wondering why I should ever pass a message thru that doesn't have a fully
qualified address (shouldn't it always be <> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> in a
perfect world?)
I don't see a useful reason for Postfix touching the message header - this
isn't the info thats used to route the messages anyway(?)
