Situation:

Horde 3.1.5 / IMP 4.1.5
IMAP and SMTP-AUTH are working smoothly with telnet and with Thunderbird
Client.
The IMAP and SMTP-AUTH uses the same user database via SASL.
(dovecot-auth + postfix)
I could authenticate me and get my mails also with IMP and IMAP, but if
i wont to send a mail i get the message:
PLAIN authentication failure [SMTP: SMTP server does not support
authentication (code: 250, response: .....hostname.... PIPELINING SIZE
10240000 VRFY ETRN ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES 8BITMIME DSN)]
In Horde "Mailer" tab i setup up the following:
"Use SMTP Server"
server to connect is default [localhost]
Port 587 (submission)
local hostname/domain is default [localhost]
SMTP Auth. "PLAIN"
Username and password for SMTP Auth. are empty
Did i go correct supposition Horde/IMP get the username/password for
SMTP-AUTH from login username/password ?
